I went to the eye doctor this morning. I've noticed over the past few months that my eyes would be pretty tired after a long day reading/working on my computer. While watching tv in the eventings, I've noticed the images would be a bit blurry sometimes, so I decided to make an appointment to see what's going on with my eyes. The last time I got my eyes checked was maybe 7-8 years ago, and at that time, my eyes had changed so little from the previous 10 years or so, that my doctor said not to bother with getting new glasses.

So... After doing the standard vision checks, the doctor says, "I know what's going on with your eyes - they're getting better." Huh? Neat. He went on to say, "Your eyes are getting tired because they're working too hard to focus. Your current prescription is too strong for them."

Rock on. About 45 minutes later, I have new lenses for my frames and I can actually feel my eyes not straining. Go me.

nice!
I remember you saying you didn't get checked every year. since it's still new for me, I get checked every year, and it makes a huge difference when it's changed!

cool!

Yeah, it's pretty neat. I'll admit I've been a bit lazy as well in going to see a doctor, but really, it hasn't been till this summer that I've really noticed a problem with my vision.
