Went to my first climbing competition today. Out at boatrock (which is not far from six flags) there's a group of large boulders off of fulton industrial blvd. It's my first bouldering competition and went fairly well. The rain was a minor hindrance, but we all had a fun time. It's amusing that of the crowd there, I'm almost considered old. Ha! On the scoring card, the age group of 32+ is was labeled "Geritol". Great. Lots of college and a few high schoool kids. All of whom kick my butt in climbing. A bunch of people with whom I top rope came out there, so I at least knew a few people. Climbers are in general a pretty supportive group and everybody was cheering everybody else who was climbing.
Steph's sister is in town, and after I got back, we took her out to give her her birthday present. She wanted her tongue pierced, so we took her to Kolo in Little 5 to get that done. Then we went to Cold Stone Creamery for ice cream, then Ru Sans for sushi.
Next is to watch some DVDs we rented. W00t.
